Diesel Mechanic – Northlake, IL (On-Site Position)
Salary: $26.00–$34.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Key Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines, tractors, trailers, and related equipment.

• Conduct basic diagnostics and repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Address minor collision-related repairs.

• Perform routine services including oil changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication.

• Complete all required repair documentation accurately and timely.

• Follow safety protocols and communicate effectively with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.

• 1+ year of mechanic or forklift maintenance experience (or educational equivalent).

• Prior hands-on mechanic experience required.

• ASE certification is a plus, but not required.

• Must own a basic set of tools.

• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
