The Custom Companies is a full-service transportation company located in Northlake. We are in search of a full time Cash Application's Clerk for our Northlake facility.

Job Overview:
Primary cash applications person for the Credit & Collections Dept. Applies bank lockbox deposits,
wire transfers, credit card and ACH / EFT payments. Prepares daily live deposit. Reconciles A/R – Cash
function for month – end / yearend as needed. Distributes short payments created through
application of customer payments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Apply lockbox and other forms of payment to accounts via CLI system.
• Prepares daily live deposit for bank.
• Processes credit card payments.
• Prepares journal entries as needed.
• Reconciles cash accounts for month-end, year-end as needed.
• Resolve any questions regarding payment discrepancies with customers.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED required
• Knowledge of CLI system a plus.
• Some computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives.
• Good communication skills (Customer service, Customer Care).
• Accurate typing / data entry skills.
• Previous transportation experience a plus.
• 1 – 2 years’ experience (minimum)
